The end is near! Congratulations to our 8th grade Bobcats as they promote to the high school!

REMINDERS:
If you have tickets for the 8^th grade Magic Mountain trip it is Friday May 17^th . We will be leaving right after school and won't return until 2am. Remember that you must attend school on Friday to go on the trip and YOU MUST LEAVE BAGS OR BACKPACKS AT HOME OR ON THE BUS. THEY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED INSIDE THE PARK. There are not assigned seats, but there are assigned buses. See the list on the office window to see which bus you are on ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

• 8th grade textbooks will be collected TUES, May 28th. MISSING OR DAMAGED BOOKS WILL RESULT IN AN "OBLIGATION" owed to Norco Intermediate School. If unpaid, an owed obligation will result in the student not receiving a promotion certificate June 5^th. IF YOUR CHILD HAD A DAMAGED BOOK, they will be given a notice May 28!  (Unpaid obligations stay on record, and affect participation in high school activities such as graduation ceremony and prom ticket purchases!)

• 8th grade awards night will be May 28^th at Norco High. THIS IS BY INVITATION ONLY. The awards presentation will start at 6pm. You will be notified by FRIDAY, May 17th if you are receiving an End-of-Year Award. (These awards do not include final semester honor roll, as grades are not entered until June 6.)

• 8^th grade Breakfast and end-of year events are all for free thanks to ASB fundraising!  All you have to do is meet the NIS Activities Requirements printed in your planner! NO-GO list students who do not meet requirements or have approval may not attend!

• 8^th grade promotion is Wednesday June 5^th at Norco High. Students need to be at the gymnasium no later than 1pm, with all obligations paid in advance (missing/damaged books, missing PE locks, etc.) Promotion will start at 2pm in the stadium. Parking will be available in the student lots as it is a minimum day for the high school.

• Please remember that school dress code will be enforced at all the end of the year activities. ​We HIGHLY recommend avoiding short skirts at promotion, as the chairs are set up in advance and may be HOT when students are seated on the field. NO HEELS are permitted on the stadium field as they will damage the turf. If you wear a shoe with a heel, they will be removed for the ceremony. Full wedge-bottom shoes are acceptable.
