How to Retake a Chapter Test

Students are permitted to retake a chapter test. They must earn the right to retake a test by preparing in an additional manner. Retaking a test without completing the necessary work for the chapter, and further reviewing the material, will not improve scores.

In order to retake, students must meet the following requirements:

1. Students must have all assignments for the chapter completed.

2. Students must complete the Chapter Review Activity accurately. The Chapter Review activity will be posted daily in class.

3. Students must come to the test re-take. Retakes will be given one week after the original test, during both lunches. This date will be posted daily in class. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive, on the scheduled date, or they will not be allowed to retake the test for that chapter.

*If any of the criteria is not met, a student will not be able to retake the test. It is important to note that the test will be an alternate version and will include some different questions than the first test.

Once the retake is completed, the higher of the two test scores will be kept in the grade book.
